Cyber is a board responsibility
Our board is accountable for cyber risk, and we've committed to follow the NCSC's Cyber Governance Code of Practice.
We've signed the government's Cyber Resilience Pledge, a public commitment to treat cyber security as a business risk that the board answers for. We signed on [date signed], and the pledge asks us to publish the signed declaration on our website. You can download it below.

Signed by James Cash, Managing Director, Superfast IT, on 13/10/2025.
The pledge is a voluntary declaration run by the UK government. Organisations sign it to show they take cyber security seriously and are taking specific steps on it. It isn't a certification, and nobody audits it. What it does is make us say publicly what we've agreed to do, so you can hold us to it.
Our board is accountable for cyber risk, and we've committed to follow the NCSC's Cyber Governance Code of Practice.
It tells us about potential cyber attacks and vulnerabilities affecting our network, so we hear about problems early.
The more access a supplier has to our systems or data, the more it matters that they're certified.
Our registration pre-dates the pledge.
We've added our suppliers to it.
If you're a client, the people looking after your IT answer to a board that has put its name to these commitments. If you're a prospect, you can read what we've agreed to, check it against the GOV.UK page, and ask us about it. We'd rather you did.
We also expect the businesses we work with to take their own security seriously, because their weak points can become ours. That's the reason Cyber Essentials runs through our supply chain.
The pledge sits alongside what we already hold. We're a Cyber Essentials certification body, we're ISO 27001 certified, and we partner with the West Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre. You can read more about how we protect clients on our cyber security page.
No. It's a voluntary declaration. Signing it means we've publicly committed to the actions in it. Cyber Essentials, which we also help businesses achieve, is the certification.
Any organisation. There are no eligibility criteria on the GOV.UK page, and you sign by returning the declaration to the government's cyber security team.
On the GOV.UK pledge page. Our signed declaration is the PDF on this page.
No. The supply chain commitment covers the suppliers we use, and it's based on risk. If you have questions about how it applies to you, ask your account manager or email hello@superfast-it.com.
Our PDF is our own signed copy, so it won't suit your business. If you want to sign, the form and guidance are on GOV.UK, and we can help with the steps.
Any business can sign the pledge, and the steps are easier with someone who's done them. If you want help with Cyber Essentials, or want to talk through what signing would involve for you, we're happy to help.
